Included in this slideshow are photos of production events I’ve done audio for (such as the Dixie Land Jazz Festival, Music In the Park in Downtown Olympia, an an Evergreen play in which we used over 20 lavalier mics), block diagrams of multiple productions I was assigned to, and some production equipment I’ve used.
Cross Cultural Poetics
In the fall of 2013 I was lead producer for a radio program, Cross Cultural Poetics (episodes 277-285), hosted by Evergreen faculty, Leonard Schwartz. These episodes aired on Evergreen State College’s KAOS FM radio station and are archived with University of Pennsylvania’s Penn Sound division. In Cross Cultural Poetics, Leonard speaks with poets from all over the world to discuss their published work, their art, and their language. Most of the episodes are conversations with the guests, recorded over the phone with Leonard (who converses and is recorded through a microphone) into Digital Performer for editing and finalizing purposes (these aren’t aired live). As lead producer, I was able to train a fellow intern, Misa Andrade, in recording and editing for these phone conversations. He was then able to successfully take over as lead producer for the rest of the academic year.

Return To Evergreen 2013
In fall of 2013 I was a lead crew member for Return To Evergreen. It was the first of an annual event to welcome back alumni for a night of music, reconnecting, and highlighting what the current student body is involved in. Electronic Media broadcast a concert in which my crew position had me on call for any stage problems, set changes, and various media assistance. Below is one of my favorite sets of that night.
CMD+Z (Collaborative Intern Project)
On Valentines Day weekend of 2014, the Electronic Media Interns produced a two-night concert. While I’m usually assigned to audio related positions, I chose to broaden my skills by learning how to use a light board, MIDI, and software to control the lighting. Proceeding is one of the bands from the first night of the event.
In April of 2014, Evergreen hosted a TEDx event and as the audio intern, I was assigned to broadcast audio. Below is a clip from the production.
